Jean-Marie Le Pen reacted to the words of his granddaughter Marion, who is reluctant to rally alongside Éric Zemmour for the presidential campaign. What arouse the indignation of his aunt Marine, as well as his grandfather.
Rififi at the Le Pen? While the 2022 presidential election is being prepared with great fanfare, the candidates are increasing their speeches and appearances in order to secure the votes of many voters. While Emmanuel Macron has not yet declared himself a candidate for his own re-election, others seem to be in favor with the French, by placing themselves in a good position in the polls. Among them, Marine Le Pen, but also Éric Zemmour, to whom several figures of the National Rally recently joined, such as Gilbert Collard and perhaps soon, Marion Maréchal.
In an interview with Le Parisien, Marine Le Pen’s niece indeed expressed her hesitation to join the former CNews polemicist, explaining that she was still at the stage of “reflection”. “No decision is made”, she confided. But it was enough to arouse the anger of certain members of his family, like his grandfather, Jean-Marie Le Pen. “If the programs are parallel, everything should lead her to be on the side of her aunt rather than a stranger, however nice he may be”thus entrusted the former president of the National Front to BFMTV, relayed by The Parisianstating that according to him, his daughter is “the candidate with the best chance of success”. “She is the one who must receive the support of all the friends who think like me”he added.
Marion Maréchal’s hesitation is “difficult” for her aunt
If she doesn’t want “recreating family fractures” By joining Éric Zemmour, Marion Maréchal, pregnant with her second child, however, made this assumption without visibly caring about the reaction of the members of her clan. And if Jean-Marie Le Pen reacted by putting himself on the side of his daughter Marine, the latter said to herself “touched” by this hesitation that she obviously hadn’t seen coming. “I have a special story with Marion because I raised her with my sister during the first years of her life, so obviously it’s brutal, it’s violent, it’s difficult for me”thus entrusted the candidate RN, who will speak soon with her niece and her father, visibly decided to play the mediators between the two women.
