What is it about ?

Fred, a young peacekeeper student and son of the charismatic commissioner Leprince, is found dead inside the National Police School. Émilie, the victim’s sister, also a student, cannot believe the thesis of suicide.

This drama will shatter his personal and professional certainties. Commander Anne Voreppe and Captain Christelle Chesnot take charge of the case and quickly switch the theory of suicide to that of murder. For Captain Chesnot, who recently left this same Police Academy, this tragedy will reopen old wounds and secretly buried taboos.

Wednesday April 6 at 9:10 p.m. on France 2.

Who is it with?

Fatou N’Diaye and Annie Gregorio embody the duo of cops in charge of the investigation. The first was previously illustrated in OSS 117: Red Alert in Black Africa and An Angel, while the second was seen in More beautiful life and Learning to love you.

Sam Karmann (Le Sens de la fête, Laëtitia) lends his features to curator Richard Leprince. His daughter and son are played respectively by Léa Léviant (Mortel) and Cédric Leffray (The Origin of the World). Alexandre Brasseur (Tomorrow belongs to us), Stéphane Debac (Funny, Les Bracelets Rouges) and Annick Blancheteau (Alex Hugo) complete the cast.

On the production side, Bruno Garcia, who worked on Mongeville and Chérif in particular, takes care of the shots. The screenplay was written by Emmanuel Bézier and Christophe Gavat, with the collaboration of Yann le Gal (Mortel, Cassandre).

Well worth a look ?

Police television films are legion on France Télévisions. But for this new investigation, it is within the police academy itself that our two investigators will have to carry out their investigations in In the heart. When a student is found dead inside the establishment, the police immediately think of a suicide.

But very quickly, Commander Anne Voreppe and Captain Christelle Chesnot realize that they are dealing with a murder. For the latter, who recently left this same school, the investigation will also reopen old wounds and undermine her impartiality.

If the investigation of En plein coeur remains classic, and the culprit of the murder is somewhat predictable, the twists and turns of the well-crafted situations allow this fiction to stand out and captivate us until the final outcome.

It must be said that its director, Bruno Garcia, is a regular in the detective genre since he notably worked on Menace sur Kermadec or Section de Recherches.

The duo of investigators formed by Fatou N’Diaye and Annie Gregorio works perfectly, the two actresses bringing a new breath to this genre already seen and reviewed. For his part, Sam Karmann embodies with great subtlety the charismatic and respected police commissioner Leprince, a mysterious character who will have to face the tragic death of his son.
