Rihanna: Documentary about the singer will be released in summer 2021

Director Peter Berg has been working with Rihanna on a documentary about the singer for four years. This should finally appear in summer 2021.

Fans of Rihanna ("Umbrella") can apparently look forward to a new project by the 32-year-olds in the coming year. As director Peter Berg (56) said of the US site "Collider", the work on the documentary about the singer was about to be completed – after almost four years. Completion is planned for spring 2021, Amazon will release the film "next summer". However, an exact date has not yet been set. "Sometime around July 4th, hopefully," said Berg.

The singer sets an enormous pace

The American director has known Rihanna for many years. In 2012, for example, they worked together on the set of the film "Battleship". He knows how busy the singer, actress and entrepreneur is. "She is a remarkable woman who seems to be growing and branching out into new businesses and new ventures every day," he said. According to him, all of this is happening "at a pace that is almost impossible to keep up with".

Obviously it cannot be denied: The reason for the delay in the documentary seems to be Rihanna's full schedule. "Every time we think we're going to finish the film and release it, she starts something like her fashion line, or her lingerie line, or her skin care line. It's running at full speed," said Berg.
