Riot Games partners with Amazon to promote the firm’s competitive circuits

Amazon Web Services, it is a cloud platform offering a large number of services for Tech companies. As part of this agreement, the two parties will promote various content around League of Legends, VALORANT and League of Legends: Wild Rift. In addition, Riot Games will make Amazon Web Services its official cloud service provider.

“Riot Games has a long-term vision to bring joy to billions of fans around the world through our esports offering, and we are excited to partner with AWS. AWS end-to-end solutions and experience will enhance Riot Games esports streaming and engage esports fans worldwide. From reimagining how fans experience our events and content, to interacting with other players, AWS opens up endless possibilities for Riot Games to shape the future of esports.” – John Needham, President of Esports at Riot Games

Riot Games already uses offers from Amazon Web Services in his games. Additionally, the two companies are currently working on improving the streaming of global esports events for LoL Esports, VALORANT Champions Tour and Wild Rift Esports. Much like the detailed stats provided to major global sports leagues, Riot Games will leverage the wide range of features offered by Amazon Web Services to provide new options for fans.

“Our collaboration with Riot Games is changing the entire landscape of esports. Viewers and teams can now see in real time how different streaks, weapons and abilities can define who will be the champion, much like the stats used in other sports broadcasts.” – Matt Garman, SVP of Global Sales, Marketing and Services at Amazon Web Services

The first fruits of the cooperation between Amazon Web Services and Riot Games should be visible in the fall during a joint hackathon.
