The company XOX Biscuits GmbH has recalled its product “Maya the Bee Potato Snack” in the 100 gram package due to possible undisclosed wheat proportions.
Because of possible allergic reactions, customers who were allergic to wheat should pay attention to the recall and not consume the affected product, warned the company from Lauenau (Lower Saxony) on its website. Customers who were not allergic to wheat or wheat products, on the other hand, can consume the product without hesitation.
The portal “Lebensmittelwarnung.de” of the federal states and the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food (BVL) justified the recall on Friday with the fact that wheat was not labeled in the list of ingredients.
Specifically affected is the article, XOX Maya the Bee Potato Snack 100g, article number 87274 with the batch number 214 and the best before date (BBD) 07/28/2022 and the batch with the number 215 (BBD: 07/29/2022).
