Risk of listeria: Carrefour, Casino and Auchan recall cheese


Be careful if you recently shopped at Casino, Vival, Spar, Carrefour or Auchan, and bought goat cheese there. In this case, fig heart goat balls 90 g from the Fromaoceur brand. The product is the subject of a recall procedure, the detailed sheet of which was published on Monday March 28 on the dedicated government site rappel.conso.gouv.fr. The product may contain listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

Several batches are affected: numbers 22-042, S22-063, D22-042 and S22-080, with the GTIN code 3760064261461. The expiry dates extend from March 22 to April 29, 2022. The batches concerned have been marketed throughout France between February 17 and March 25. The health mark is as follows: FR-16.292.066-CE.

Risk of listeriosis

People who have consumed these products and who have fever isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor by notifying him of this consumption, indicates the government site. For pregnant women, serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage can also sometimes occur. They, as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly, should be particularly attentive to these symptoms.

Listeria can cause listeriosis, a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks, specifies the government site. The recall procedure ends on April 29, 2022. All customers who have this product in their possession are therefore invited not to consume it and to bring it back to the store in exchange for a refund.
