Ritz, Saint-Martin and 5-star hotel: Eric Zemmour’s cherished Christmas holidays

According to Le Canard Enchaîné, Eric Zemmour would have spent a very inexpensive vacation at the end of the year. A stay in a thousand places of modest origins that the candidate regularly evokes in his political speeches.

I lived in the suburbs. The buildings were ugly but I have only good memories. The human atmosphere was warm and very French“, said Eric Zemmour a few days ago by the fireside. Never the last when it comes to recalling his modest origins, the polemicist seems to have a well-crafted strategy: show that he is close to the people, to “real people”. A maneuver which seems to work for a certain part of its electorate, but which struggles to convince the rest of the public. The reason ? If no one denies the prosaic childhood of Eric Zemmour, it has been a long time since she defines him in the eyes of many, because of his sumptuous lifestyle. Latest example: the candidate’s end-of-year celebrations, which were abundant according to Le Canard Enchaîné, whose words were taken up by Nils Wilcke, journalist at 20 minutes. Indeed, on January 5, the latter said on Twitter: “Zemmour, who wants to be the idol of “real people”, spent the vacation of a mogul: after a New Year’s Eve at the Ritz on the 24th, the candidate flew to the Ile Saint-Martin in a 4 star “5 minutes away. from the beach”, then in a 5 star hotel for more than 1000 € per night, according to the Chained Duck“. A stay all in all expensive which contrasts somewhat with the ritornello of the candidate.

Eric Zemmour: “a great bourgeois” according to Charles Consigny

At the end of December, Charles Consigny had stepped up to the plate against his colleague Fred Hermel on RMC when the latter declared that Eric Zemmour, “from the most modest background, was the best example of meritocracy“.”He must stop telling us that he comes from a modest background, he’s been away for a long time, that he’s a big bourgeois. Our role is not to swallow the heavy strings with which they want to convince us and I see that Zemmour is campaigning with very heavy strings. He’s quite a disconnected person who campaigns with his big strings. I don’t blame him for making money, it’s normal, it’s his job, but he should stop repeating to us fifteen times in the same sentence that he does not come from the beautiful neighborhoods“, the lawyer got upset.
