Riverdale: a magical return in the sequel to season 6

Season 6 of Riverdale is full of surprises: a character, who has already appeared in the series, will make a magical return.

It was one of the big surprises of season 6 of Riverdale: the arrival of Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) in the series. Coming from the same comic book universe, the witch, who was entitled to her own series on Netflix for 4 seasons, appeared for an episode to help Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) with a spell.

Her arrival was quite intriguing, given that she died in her Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series and lies in Sweet Beyond with her beloved Nick, but she appeared in episode 4, which was listed in a story arc touching on the Multiverse and the alternate reality called Rivervale. In a world where the supernatural and magic are intertwined, anything is possible.

A magical return!

And as Riverdale Season 6 builds on that momentum with superhero powers, an apocalypse threat, and an immortal villain, it’s no wonder that Sabrina will return in Episode 19. This next chapter, broadcast on The CW across the Atlantic on July 19 and the next day on Netflix in France, was unveiled with a teaser in which Sabrina appears more mischievous than ever.

In this episode titled “The Witches of Riverdale”, Sabrina comes to the aid of Cheryl, who summons her for her witchcraft gifts. Thanks to her, those who have fallen prey to the evil Percival (Chris O’Shea) hope to get rid of him. Among these people, we find Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook), who become witches for the time of a ritual.

Season 6 of Riverdale, consisting of 22 episodes, is currently being broadcast on Netflix in France and is coming to an end soon. A seventh season has already been ordered and it will be the last.
