Riverdale on Netflix: why the end of the series will surprise you!

After 7 seasons, the Riverdale series is coming to an end soon. Surprise, the synopsis of the last episode has been unveiled and it is very surprising!

It’s the teen show that audiences love to hate because of its goofy plotlines, especially in the later seasons. If this fiction has held up despite the critics, it is coming to an end very soon.

There is an end to everything and Riverdale is no exception. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s series adapted from the Archie Comics universe ends with its seventh season, available in US+24 on Netflix in France since March 30.

We will therefore have to say goodbye to the cast of Riverdale, which includes KJ Apa (Archie), Lili Reinhart (Betty), Camila Mendes (Veronica), Cole Sprouse (Jughead) and Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl).

In this seventh and final season, Archie and his friends have been transported to 1955 in high school! Jughead is the only one to be aware of this time travel as the others seem to be living their high school existence in the 1950s normally.

The young man will try to understand what happened and he will above all try to find a solution to return to the present. These final installments of Riverdale take us back to the vintage spirit of its source material, the Archie Comics comics.

The surprising end of Riverdale revealed!

With already 17 episodes available out of 20 for this final season, Riverdale is approaching its conclusion. And as the last twists and turns of the series come to an end, the American channel The CW has unveiled the synopsis of the final episode of the series and it is very surprising!

The CW

Know that the Riverdale gang will be back in the present in this final chapter… but in an unexpected way. Entitled “Goodbye, Riverdale”, this twentieth and final episode of the seventh and final season of the series will feature an elderly Betty!

Here is the synopsis: Nowadays, 86-year-old Betty reminisces about her former life in Riverdale. She turns to a special friend to help her relive her last day of senior year with her friends as they were, with their memories restored.

It remains to be seen how Betty will go back in time. Is this a metaphor and will the episode be a huge flashback? Or will Betty really travel back in time and relive her last day in high school in the 1950s?

We will have to wait for the broadcast of this final episode to find out! Answer on August 24 in US+24 on Netflix in France.
