“Riverdale” villain Hiram Lodge is leaving the series after four seasons. Veronica’s father is played by Mark Consuelos.

The biggest “Riverdale” villain leaves: Veronica Lodge’s father (Camila Mendes, 27), gang boss Hiram Lodge, is leaving the CW series. This is reported by the portal “Deadline”. Mark Consuelos (50), who has played this role since the second season, made his last appearance as a series member in the finale of season five (October 6th) with the title “Riverdale: RIP”.

“Riverdale” creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said: “Tonight’s episode is Mark’s farewell song as our handsome villain Hiram Lodge in Riverdale after four crazy, glorious years. From the moment Mark came to us, he was literally for to have everything one hundred percent committed to Archies [K.J. Apa, 24] To make life hell. And the funny thing is that Mark is the complete opposite of Hiram. He’s a top notch professional and the cutest guy who always takes care of everyone. “We wish Mark the best and hope we haven’t seen Hiram Lodge for the last time.”

Hiram Lodge is banished, Mark Consuelos bids a polite goodbye

The actor had his big exit, in which Archie, Veronica, Betty (Lili Reinhart, 25) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse, 29) along with the other residents of Riverdale banished Hiram and thereby ended his reign of terror – at least temporarily.

“First of all, I would like to thank Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for this incredible opportunity,” said Consuelos of his time on the series. “Never before has it felt so good to play a character who was so evil. A huge thank you to the ‘Riverdale’ fan base, to the brilliant crew, and to the fantastic colleagues whom I consider dear friends and family.”

The series is based on the characters from the Archie comics.
