RKGK / Rakugaki arrives on Steam from May 22 – Gamosaurus

Less than a month after revealing himself during the Triple-i Initiative, RKGK / Rakugaki
is due May 22. Announced from the start for the summer, we will finally have the opportunity to discover it a little in advance. But Gearbox didn’t just settle for a date, a new trailer presents the game’s gameplay in more detail. Action, platform and rhythm against a background of colors alternating between dull and garish, that’s what we’re promised .

In one minute, the studio takes the time to review everything it has to offer. And, if we are to believe what we see, this is a rhythm platform game. It doesn’t seem to rely entirely on rhythm, unlike a title like Hi-Fi Rush. However, traps and enemies seem to have very precise patterns that we can learn and anticipate. The gameplay therefore seems quite nervous, but also action-packed. It is therefore the promise of a beautiful city walk that Wabisabi Games offers us. Now we have to wait until May 22 to find out if RKGK / Rakugaki manages to keep its commitments.

As a reminder, the title is intended to be a critique of authoritarianism by plunging the player into a city deprived of their freedom of expression. The arts and colors have left the lives of the citizens of Cap City, leaving only a pile of gray and soulless buildings. But a group of resistance fighters, RKGK, intends to give hope to the people with their paintings. And it is at the controls of Valah that the player will have to do it.
