Hagrid actor was Emma Watson’s ‘funniest uncle’

Harry Potter actor Robbie Coltrane has died. For Emma Watson he was more than just a colleague.
Robbie Coltrane (1950-2022) has passed away at the age of 72. Many of his colleagues mourn the loss of the British actor, who was best known for playing Hagrid in the “Harry Potter” films. Emma Watson (32), who starred as Hermione, also spoke up.
In a touching Instagram story the actress writes that Coltrane was “like the funniest uncle I ever had” to her. When she was a child, but also as an adult, Coltrane was above all “deeply caring and compassionate”. The deceased had an immense talent, “which is why it made sense that he played a giant”.
Coltrane should know how much she “adores and admires” him. Among other things, the 32-year-old will miss his nicknames, his warmth, his laughter and his hugs. He made them all “a family”. Watson posted a picture of the two in a Harry Potter reunion that was released as a special TV special titled Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.

Many of her colleagues also said goodbye to Coltrane on social media. “I will never know anyone like Robbie again. He was an incredible talent, one of a kind,” wrote “Harry Potter” creator JK Rowling (57) for example on Twitter.
“Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met and always made us laugh on set as kids,” said Daniel Radcliffe, 33, who played the eponymous magic student, in a statement. which includes “Page Six”.. He said he was “incredibly lucky to have met and worked with him and very sad that he passed away.”
