Robbie Williams: Corona pandemic throws new album through the bill

No new music from Robbie Williams? Although the artist had announced a record for 2020, he has to postpone the release.

Fans of Robbie Williams (46, "Angels") apparently have to be patient a little longer. After the musician released the record "The Christmas Present" just in time for Christmas last year, there will probably be no new music by the British in 2020. The reason for this should be the corona pandemic, as songwriter Guy Chambers (57) said to "The Sun".

Chambers has worked with Williams on several albums, including Swings Both Ways (2013) and The Heavy Entertainment Show (2016). He also seems to be involved in the new work, because he announced: The 13th studio album by the former Take That star is not yet finished. Williams wants to make more recordings, but is currently in Los Angeles "and nobody can fly to America". The men could only "create" something if they were "together in the same room".

Robbie Williams discovers disco sounds

In April of this year, in the middle of the first lockdown, Williams had revealed a little about his new record. At the time, he said in a live Instagram video: "I'm trying a new genre of music, a genre I haven't really come into contact with before." According to his remarks, fans should be prepared for "disco-like" sounds.
