Carlos Rodriguez shared heartbreaking lines on his Instagram account. For a short video that apparently shows his son as a small child, he writes: “If you knew him, you would know. Our families and friends will mourn, but will never forget him.”

“He loved his life”

He continues, “Leo was a passionate young man. He loved his family and friends, he loved his whole life, and he was curious about the world.” He adds that his son was a “talented programmer” who wanted to put his skills to good use. Like his parents, he loved art. Father Carlos is a graffiti artist, painter and sculptor.

“He was a seeker”

“Leo loved to travel the world. He was a seeker who explored many lands on his own, breaking bread with strangers and engaging in philosophical reflections on things that were far beyond his years,” says Carlos Rodriguez, describing his beloved son and at the end thanks everyone who supports Drena and him during this difficult time. Shortly before, Leandro’s mother Drena De Niro had expressed her suspicions about the cause of her son’s death.
