Robin Hood acts up in Gangs of Sherwood – Gamosaurus

The green-hooded archer returns to experience a new adventure alongside his Merry Companions with Gangs of Sherwood. No Oliver Queen here, Robin Hood sets off in pursuit of the Sheriff of Nottingham in a reimagined universe. Developed by Appeal Studios, and published by Nacon, the game is expected on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series for November 30, 2023.

The Sheriff of Nottingham has got his hands on philosopher’s stones, creating an army more powerful and totalitarian than ever. With the people of England now oppressed, a rebellion seeks to form. At its head, an exceptional archer: Robin Hood. Accompanied by Petit Jean, Frère Tuck and Marianne, the group seeks to put an end to this diabolical reign to restore freedom to the people. Even if it means facing improved soldiers, war machines and supercharged lieutenants.

By reinterpreting the story of Robin Hood, Appeal Studios gives a more futuristic aspect to its game. It is therefore not surprising to see Robin and his companions endowed with extraordinary physical abilities or powers. Nevertheless, Gangs of Sherwood remains a cooperative narrative game. It is therefore his story that is highlighted, even if the choice of his character remains important. The talent trees and equipment will make each of them unique. A good way to make them indispensable in their chosen field.
