Robin Wright and Sean Penn together for the first time in ages, after their respective divorces

Sunday, January 15, 2023, Robin Wright and Sean Penn were spotted together for the first time in five years. Divorced since the summer of 2010, the two stars had not been photographed together since May 2017.

They were one of Hollywood’s iconic couples. After six years of love, Robin Wright and Sean Penn said ‘yes’ to each other in 1996. In December 2007, the actress had however filed for divorce before retracting in April 2008. Finally, her husband had filed a request for separation in April 2009 and the duo had divorced during the summer of 2010. Since then, the two stars, who had two children together, had not appeared together since May 2017. Both single, Robin Wright and Sean Penn were spotted together on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Los Angeles airport. A flashback, would it be possible?

In recent years, the two stars have rebuilt their lives. If Robin Wright married Clément Giraudet in August 2018, she filed for divorce in September 2022. For his part, Sean Penn said ‘yes’ to Leila George in July 2020 before divorcing a year and a half later. In the past, Robin Wright had been questioned about her ex-husband. During an interview, she confided:I have too much respect for Sean Penn and our two amazing children to sell our past joys and misfortunes. I think we were together not only to have our children, but also to learn to love in the right way.” In July 2009, it was after a new couple crisis that the actress confided to the magazine Psychologies. “All marriages have their phase. That’s life. You go through that when you’ve been married for a long time. If you’re lucky, it allows you to grow and it makes you discover things“, she had indicated.

Sean Penn: ‘We don’t share the same ethical views on parenting’

In March 2018, in the podcast WTF, Sean Penn had mentioned half-word his relationship with the mother of his children, Dylan and Hopper Jack. In all transparency, the actor had let it be known: “It’s not that we don’t get along. We have very separate relationships with our kids at this point and it seems to work better that way because they make their own decisions. Turns out she and I don’t share the same ethical views on parenting, including continued parenting of adult children.
