RoboCop: Rogue City reveals itself in a brutal trailer

If the Polish studio Teyon has so far not really shone on the video game landscape (between an unexciting Rambo and a forgettable Terminator: Resistance), the publisher Nacon still seems to bet big on their new offspring. RoboCop: Rogue City. The Eastern European firm therefore continues its exploitation of licenses straight from the 80s/90s (who would dare to say that the said franchises continued in the 2000s? Not us anyway). It seems that for the return of agent Alex Murphy, Teyon has aimed much higher than for his previous productions.

Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!

The connoisseurs of Mr. Alex Murphy will surely take pleasure in listening to the new gameplay trailer to seize many references to the lore RoboCop. From the aiming grid superimposed on the subjective view of the hero, to the iconic sound effects marking his heavy steps, through the instructions displayed on the screen/visor and the bloodshed dear to the saga, without forgetting the presence from Peter Weller to the dubbing of Robo-Cop… Teyon seems to want to caress the fan in the direction of the hair.

There are still many unknowns about the software: what about its place in the lore? RoboCop ? Will it be a spin-off, or will it take place in the continuity of Paul Verhoeven’s film (or its dispensable sequels), or even the eponymous TV series, or even RoboCop: The Animated Series ? How will the slow movements of the protagonist be experienced and managed in the long term? Will there be several possible approaches, or will everything have to end in a bloodbath?

The questions will have to wait a few months before being answered. RoboCop: Rogue City will shine its armor in September 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
