Roborock announces the launch of two robot vacuum cleaners as well as its first connected washer-dryer.
On the occasion of the IFA, one of the flagship events dedicated to high-tech products in Berlin, Roborock communicates on the expansion of its robotics range. The world leader in the field announces the arrival of two new robot vacuum cleaners in its catalog, as well as the launch of its first washer-dryer.
Two new robot vacuum cleaners
Responding to the sweet code names of Q5 Pro and Q8 Max, these two new robot vacuum cleaners naturally join Roborock’s Q series. Positioned on the mid-range, these models are differentiated by the software aspect. The Q8 Max brings additional features compared to the Q5 Pro, mainly aimed at improving the avoidance of obstacles in its path.
Regarding their other characteristics, these two robots are quite similar. They both feature a suction capacity of 5,500 Pa and are equipped with the DuoRoller brush system, ensuring better hair collection on carpets. Both of these robot vacuum cleaners base their navigation on LiDAR technology, which consists of mapping rooms in the home. Q5 Pro+ and Q8 Max+ versions are also announced, the latter will be compatible with the RockDock Plus docking station, allowing the automatic emptying of vacuumed dust.
The Q5 Pro and Q8 Max will be available in France from mid-September. Roborock is planning a price tag of €349 for the Q5 Pro and €499 for the Q8 Max.
A first washer-dryer for the brand
Roborock is also announcing the Zeo One. This is the manufacturer’s first connected washer-dryer. With a washing capacity of 10 kg for 6 kg in drying, the Zeo One promises features to eliminate bacteria, animal hair, allergens and other stubborn stains. This new device uses a low temperature drying technology. According to Roborock, it would be able to dry the most delicate clothes using sensors and an AI-based algorithm.
The Zeo One also offers a self-cleaning system capable of collecting and eliminating lint independently. This function sends the manual cleaning of the filter to oblivion. This washer-dryer is also connected, which will allow the user to select their program on the companion mobile application and to control the cycles remotely.
The release date of the Zeo One and the amount it will cost to acquire it are not yet known.
