After marketing the S7 MaxV Ultra robot vacuum cleaner at the last CES, Roborock is back with a new Q range offering more affordable products. Among them is the top-of-the-range Q7 Max+ model.
Decidedly, Roborock is not idle and continues to enrich its vast catalog of robot vacuum cleaners. After the highly anticipated S7 MaxV Ultra unveiled in January and marketed from March 22, 2022, the Chinese manufacturer has unveiled its new Q range. This series aims to be more affordable while offering an automatic oil change station for each model, which the manufacturer intends democratize on all its future robots.
The Q7 Max+ is to date the most high-end of the series. This vacuum cleaner incorporates the features of the S range, including the laser rangefinder and LiDAR navigation, as well as the various functionalities of the application.
The robot therefore benefits from an automatic charging base called Auto Empty Dock Pure, that is to say that the waste present in the collector is sucked into a fabric bag located at the top of the base. This function has two major advantages: it is more hygienic, since the user is no longer in direct contact with dust, and is less tedious, since the 2.5 l bag is supposed to contain up to seven weeks of waste. Thus, it no longer requires multiple round trips to the trash can to dispose of the waste from the small collector.
Appreciable, this new model vacuums and washes at the same time. Yes, the Q7 Max+ also comes with a mop and a 350ml capacity water tray. In fact, it is equipped with an electronic pump and offers 30 levels of water flow to adjust the cleaning that will correspond to the different types of soil. In addition, a constant pressure of 300 g is applied to the mop so that it can really clean.
Note that Roborock has for the first time integrated the dust collector and the water tray in the same place and not one under the hood and the other at the back of the device. When emptying, the user can also fill his water tank. However, it is difficult to understand this selling point, knowing that this robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a suction base and that manual emptying will therefore not be necessary…

On the autonomy side, the Q7 Max + promises an endurance of 3 hours and the coverage of an area of 300 m². A full charge should take around 6 hours.
Just like its predecessors, the Q7 Max+ benefits from a fully rubber-coated main brush, which is much easier to maintain than brushes with nylon bristles. Finally, Roborock has implemented a child lock that allows the device to be locked.
This model will be sold from March 17 at a price of €649. Roborock offers a discount code of more than 100 € on the AliExpress site for 48 hours. As a reminder, the S7 MaxV Ultra is sold at 1399 €.
This robot can also be acquired without its automatic base under the name of Q7 Max, but its price has not been communicated for the moment.
