Just released, already outdated. The Qrevo MaxV will not have remained at the head of the Q range for long, since a better equipped robot vacuum cleaner is already arriving. The Qrevo Master, its name, not only promises better performance, but also less maintenance. One wonders what will be left of the S series if Roborock continues in this way. But don’t be too upset if you fell for the Qrevo MaxV. It is obviously far from being outdated and even still very well equipped in terms of the market and you might not have wanted to cross the €1000 mark to equip yourself. Because yes, the latest Qrevo raises the score even further.
New for aspiration, straight from the S8
The Qrevo Master promises more effective suction, first of all in the corners since it inherits the FlexiArm arm of the S8 MaxV Ultra to deploy its side brush head. We also find the two oppositely rotating DuoRoller rollers introduced with the S8, and notably taken up by the Q5 Pro and Q8 Max, and it would equal the S8 MaxV Ultra in pure suction power with no less than 10,000 Pa announced. We will still remember that the DuoRoller brush has, until now in any case, not allowed any real improvement; we tried it on the S8. Above all, it should make it easier to remove hair and Roborock also adds a small blade that cuts it if it starts to wrap around the rollers.
In terms of washing, nothing really new for this Qrevo Master, but it is no less well equipped with its two mops that it can not only lift above the carpets, but also move aside to stick one against the walls. It also benefits from the same equipment as the Qrevo MaxV, and the S8 MaxV Ultra, to navigate around the house, including a laser rangefinder on the top and the Reactiv AI obstacle detection system combining lasers and camera on the front .
A new “self-cleaning” station
The other big novelty of the Qrevo Master is to be found in its station. Although it is similar in appearance to those of previous Qrevos, it provides a “rotating scraper” system which should keep the plate clean a little longer. This is a problem that we regularly point out with multifunction stations. To wash the mop(s), they use water – heated to 60°C in this case – which they then have to vacuum up, but generally end up leaving some behind and the tray therefore gets dirty quite quickly. Dreame offers a similar system in the X40 Ultra’s dock, but it still ends up being dirty. To see if Roborock does better. Of course, the Qrevo Master station is also responsible for filling the robot’s water tank and emptying its collector, in addition to, of course, recharging it.
The Qrevo Master is available in white and black from today for sale at the recommended retail price of €1,299, but an introductory offer is planned for first-time buyers. It is valid until June 26 and allows you to benefit from a €200 discount. The robot then costs €1099, which is still a little more expensive than the Qrevo MaxV, launched at €999.
