Roborock S7 Pro Ultra: a new robot vacuum cleaner halfway between S7 and S7 MaxV Ultra

Roborock is once again expanding its S7 lineup, this time with the S7 Pro Ultra. Halfway between the S7 and the S7 MaxV Ultra, this new model takes up the features of the first with some bonus improvements and the station of the second.

New version in sight for the Roborock S7, the fifth all the same. Since its launch in early 2021, the robot vacuum cleaner has indeed been entitled to an S7 Plus version to accompany the release of the Auto-Empty Dock, then to the S7 MaxV, S7 MaxV Plus and S7 MaxV Ultra versions. Here is the S7 Pro Ultra. This new model presents itself as an improved version of the original S7 with the Empty Wash Fill Dock station of the S7 MaxV Ultra.

New for maps and navigation

The Roborock S7 Pro Ultra incorporates most of the features of the S7 with some improvements, for mapping first. Like its elders, this model is equipped with a laser rangefinder to create floor maps, which can be enriched with furniture. The S7 Pro Ultra can also rely on various sensors to avoid falls and obstacles during cleaning. Roborock also mentions new algorithms. On the other hand, the camera remains reserved for the S7 MaxV for the identification of obstacles.

On the suction side, the new model is close to the MaxV versions with an announced power of 5100 Pa, against 2500 Pa for the first S7 of the name. A central rubber brush and a side brush are always provided to guide the dirt towards the collector with a capacity of 400 ml. The S7 Pro Ultra is also equipped with a 200 ml water tank to supply the washing function, for which we find the sonic vibration system introduced with the S7. The mop can thus perform up to 3000 vibrations per minute for greater efficiency on stubborn stains.

Almost autonomous with its station any option

Since the new model inherits the Empty Wash Fill Dock from the S7 MaxV Ultra, it shouldn’t be necessary to clean your mop after each use, as with the S7. The station has an automatic washing system in addition to another emptying system supposed to avoid the user having to manually empty the dust collector for several weeks. The filling of the water tank is also automated. Finally, Roborock evokes an autonomy of 180 min and up to 300 m² of surface, for less than 4 hours of charge.

The Roborock S7 Pro Ultra will be available from July 7, 2022 at a suggested retail price of €1199. This is logically a little less than the price of the S7 MaxV Ultra (1499 €), but still very high. By hurrying, it will nevertheless be possible to take advantage of an introductory offer at €949, valid from July 7 to 17. Remember that the S7 Plus is now less than 700 €, and the S7 “very short” at less than 500 €.
