On the occasion of CES 2023, which is currently being held in Las Vegas, Roborock unsheathed the heavy artillery in terms of connected vacuum cleaners. It is not 1, nor 2, nor 3 models that the manufacturer has unveiled, but 4 new vacuum cleaners. Roborock S8, S8+, S8 Pro Ultra and Dyad Pro, there’s something for everyone and every budget. We take stock of all the manufacturer’s announcements.
Like every year around the same time, Roborock has just unveiled its new vintage of connected vacuum cleaners. But rather than then disseminating their output throughout the year, the manufacturer preferred this time to present them in a single burst. Enough to kill four birds with one stone.
In the range of new Roborock S8, there are therefore 3 models: the S8the S8+ and the S8 Ultra. And in the vacuum-scrubber department, a little new one is also making its debut: the Dyad Pro. Here are all the novelties that await you this year from the tenor of connected vacuum cleaners.
Roborock S8, S8+ and S8 Pro Ultra: no revolution, but some great new features
First point: all the new models in the S8 range now benefit from a suction power of 6,000 Pa. This makes them not only the most powerful vacuum cleaners from Roborock, but also among the most efficient of all brands. Another novelty: the S8 now benefit from a rubber double roller brush which, according to the manufacturer, “enhances dirt pick-up and resists tangled hair”. Perfect for those who have a pet at home, in short.
If you’re wondering what the differences are between the S8 and S8+, remember that there aren’t any in the vacuum cleaner itself. In reality, it is especially at the level of the dock that everything is located: the S8 does not have one, while the S8+ does have one. The dock allows the device to recharge, but also to empty the contents.
But it is above all the S8 Pro Ultra which benefits from a greater number of new features. It has a docking station, just like the S7 Pro Ultra launched in June 2022. The RockDock Ultra is able to wash the mop, while enjoying functions of self-cleaning, emptying dust, etc. Finally, and this is the small novelty, the RockDock Ultra allows the mop to be dried using a hot air systemin order to avoid bad and odors and mould.
Another good point: thanks to the cleaning system VibraRise 2.0, mop can lift instantly when vacuum detects carpet. Finally, the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra performs 3,000 movements per minute when it comes to scrubbing the floors, thanks to a sonic system.
The S8 range starts at 699 euros and will be marketed from March 2023.
Roborock Dyad Pro: even more precise
Now let’s talk about the vacuum cleaner, the Dyad Pro. Thanks to its suction power of 17,000 Pa, the device is able to simultaneously vacuum and wash all your surfaces. An automatic roller cleaning system is integrated into the docking station, as well as a self-drying system, which prevents bad odors and mold from impregnating these same rollers.
According to the manufacturer, the rollers can approach the edges of walls with an accuracy of 1 mm, even in the most difficult places like the corners of a room. Finally, we now note the presence of a reservoir on the head of the brush, allowing the filling of the cleaning liquid.
The device will be marketed at the price of 449 € during January. An introductory offer to 349 € will also be in place from January 13 to 19, 2023.
