Roccat now covers a good range of keyboards gaming, from entry-level with the Magma and Pyro to the top-of-the-range with the Vulcan, which we appreciated for its striking quality and its attractive price-quality ratio. To align with its competitors who today offer almost all mini-keyboards, Roccat has just launched a new 65% format logically named Vulcan II Mini.
We clearly find the aesthetics of the Vulcan TKL Pro with floating keys and visible RGB lighting. This time, the Titan house optical switches move to the 2nd generation and guarantee excellent longevity with 100 million activations, as well as a responsiveness that should be exemplary. They remain linear with an activation force of 45 g, therefore equivalent to the red models from Cherry.

The 65% format differs slightly from the 60% in that it incorporates arrow keys. Those few extra keys can be important for users who don’t want to sacrifice too much. The 60% format already removes all the function keys as well as the numeric keypad, and it therefore takes some time to adapt to those arriving from the full format (TKL).
The keyboard remains wired and connects with a braided USB-C cable, but we were hoping for a wireless model at this price. The keyboard is available at a recommended price of €150.
