The Rock am Ring festival takes place in early June. The timetable and the sustainability concept are already in place.

The anticipation of the festival-goers is increasing: Among other things, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park will soon open their doors again after a pandemic break. The Rock am Ring festival, which will take place at the beginning of June at the Nürburgring in the Eifel, presented this year’s sustainability concept. The organizers also announced on Tuesday (May 24) on the website announced that only around 1,000 of the 90,000 weekend tickets were still available.

In cooperation with Utopia, festival visitors can rent tents and camping equipment from Rock am Ring. There will also be tent drop-off stations to reduce the number of tents left behind. The handed in tents are in turn transformed into bags or jackets. In addition, all festival merch is sustainably produced.

To reduce waste, in addition to reusable cups, there will be reusable cutlery with a deposit system for the first time and all festival visitors will receive garbage bags. The volume of waste is to be measured at this year’s Rock am Ring in order to be able to implement further measures to reduce waste next year.

Timetable is set

A few days ago, the twin festivals also published their timetables. at Rock am Ring On Friday (June 3rd) Marteria, Jan Delay & Disko No. 1 and Green Day, Placebo, Muse and Casper on Saturday and Beatsteaks and Billy Talent on Sunday.

at rock in the park fans can look forward to Volbeat, Billy Talent and Beatsteaks on Friday night. On the other hand, on Saturday Marteria, Green Day and Scooter will be on stage and on Sunday Placebo, Muse and Casper, among others, will heat up the fans. After two years of the Corona forced break, around 70 acts will be performing at Rock am Ring and the twin festival Rock im Park.

Live streaming is offered

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park will take place from June 3rd to 5th, 2022 at the Nürburgring in the Eifel and at the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg. Fans who cannot make it to the event at the Nürburgring can follow the comeback of the event live and free of charge via RTL+.
