The Super Bowl, the name given to the NFL final, is one of the most anticipated sporting events in the United States, and is one of the best audiences of the year. Therefore, it is not surprising to see many games put on the colors of the Super Bowl, what is the case of Rocket League, the time of a week.
Super Bowl and Gridiron mode in Rocket League
From February 9 to February 16, players will be able to (re)discover the Gridiron mode, specially designed for the planetary event. Of course, the rules vary a bit:
- Two teams of 4 players.
- The standard ball is replaced by an American football ball.
- By touching it, it clings to the roof of your car.
- As soon as a player touches the ball, he becomes its possessor. He can make a pass or get caught by opponents.
- Doing a double jump loses the ball.
- Goals are worth 3 or 7 points
- 3 points when the ball crosses the line alone.
- 7 points when the ball crosses the line attached to a player.
To encourage players to take part in this mode, Psyonix announces setting up special challenges, to collect XP points, NFL wheels and the Field General player title. An NFL Fan Pass is also available in the Item Shop, allowing you to obtain certain elements in the colors of the Super Bowl.
Regarding Super Bowl LVI, it will see the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams face off. See you on the night of Sunday February 13 to Monday February 14 to follow one of the most watched sporting events of the year live.
