Scheduled for this month of March, the new-gen version of GTA 5 (which is about to turn 9) will offer a graphic overhaul and cross-progression.

Now that GTA 6 has been officially confirmed, Rockstar will focus on releasing both new-gen versions of its GTA 5 and the online version. Two releases which have been postponed several times so far, and whose last date indicated March 2022. No postponement this time since the studio confirms this arrival for the March 15, 2022.

Obviously, these PS5 and Xbox Series versions will offer enhanced graphics, in 4K with a framerate of 60fps, to approach PC quality. Textures will be improved, with HDR options but also ray-tracing on new consoles, as will reduced loading times, haptic feedback on PS5 or immersive 3D audio.

The PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to transfer their solo games and their online characters as well as the progression thanks to the cross progression brackets. The option is already available by logging into the Rockstar Games Social Club and saving the files to the cloud. All information about account transfer can be found on the game blog.
