On Instagram, rock musician Rod Stewart appears as a proud family man: the singer poses for a rare photo with his three sons.

British rock musician Rod Stewart (79) rarely provides such insights: The Grammy winner has now shared a sweet family photo with his three sons Liam (29), Alastair (18) and Aiden (13) on Instagram. The photo shows the family of four apparently on the sidelines of an ice hockey game by Liam, who has been under contract with the British team Milton Keynes Lightning since 2019. Stewart wrote about the snapshot: “As proud as a father could be.”

His son Aiden is the spitting image of him

The musician’s approximately 1.4 million followers are enthusiastic about the family photo, which shows the rock star’s three sons in casual outfits, while Stewart himself opted for a shirt, tie and a black coat with matching gloves. Stewart’s youngest son Aiden is particularly fond of fans of the “Sailing” interpreter. “Wow, your youngest looks just like you,” writes one follower in the comments section. “Aiden is a carbon copy of you Rod and is as incredibly attractive as her father,” raved others.

Rod Stewart is a father of eight

However, the three sons are not the British rock musician’s only children. Rod Stewart has a total of eight children with different women. He has sons Alastair and Aiden with his current wife Penny Lancaster (53). Liam and daughter Renee (31) come from his marriage to Rachel Hunter (54); the couple separated in 1999.

Daughter Ruby (36), who like her father is a singer, was born during a relationship with model Kelly Emberg (64). Stewart’s eldest son Sean (43) and daughter Kimberly (44) come from Stewart’s marriage to Alana Stewart (78). The couple married in 1979 but separated just five years later. Rod Stewart has his eldest daughter Sarah (60) with his former partner Susannah Boffey.
