Rogue Factor studio announces Hell is Us postponement to 2025

At the helm of the project Hell is Uscredited as creative director, we will find the well-known Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, former artistic director on Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Sieur Jacques-Belletête must certainly have been infatuated with Elden Ring from FromSoftware, and its approach to design by subtraction. Indeed, his current project should be part of a rather minimalist approach, with a cryptic story around a Calamity (with the many supernatural creatures and minions that go with it) having fallen on Men, in a country in the midst of civil war. It will be up to the players to set the record straight, the church in the center of the village and the conspiracy theorists in the center of the Hollow Earth.

Hell is not the Others

Obviously, the ambitions of the title have somewhat exceeded its means, since the Rogue Factor studio, under the leadership of the production company Nacon, is forced to postpone the release date of Hell is Us. Announced in 2022 for release in 2023, the software is now expected at the start of 2025.

“Since the very beginning of the project Hell is Us, we always wanted to develop a game with a strong identity and challenging gameplay that offers a new way to play. We’re thrilled with how the game is shaping up and can’t wait to share the universe our team has created with you.
However, the scale of the game, the depth of its gameplay, and the work we do to create a truly original experience takes a lot of time. We are confident that we are creating a very promising game, which has encouraged us to do everything possible to realize our creative vision.
“That’s why, after assessing the time needed to realize our ambitions, we can confirm that Hell is Us will be released in early 2025.”

Hell is Us currently has no specific release date, but is still planned for PC, Xbox Series and PS5.
