Roland-Garros 2023: how to watch the tournament in streaming, and on which channel?

Every spring, lovers of the little yellow ball and clay courts can rejoice: the Roland-Garros tournament is back. This second Grand Slam meeting – from its official name “Internationaux de France” – will take place from May 28 to June 11, 2023 at Porte d’Auteuil. Like last year, the event is broadcast both by France Télévisions and by the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform.

Indeed, the Federation continues its collaboration with the group of French channels and the American streaming platform for the broadcasting of the Roland-Garros tournament until 2027.

After acquiring the rights to Ligue 1 Uber Eats until 2024, the giant Amazon’s platform has strengthened its positions in the field of sports broadcasting in France. Prime Video thus offers its French subscribers, at no additional cost, several matches of the Grand Slam tournament.

Subscribing to Prime Video costs €6.90/month (or €69.90 a year). It should be noted that customers who are not Amazon Prime members can enjoy a 30-day free trial for the event.

From May 28 to June 11, in addition to all the meetings of the Simonne-Mathieu court, the streaming platform offers live 10 evening sessions, including two quarter-finals. During these night sessions, which will broadcast only one match each time, the first point will be played at 8:30 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than in 2022.

The streaming service will also broadcast the semi-finals, finals and the mixed doubles final.

If the team of commentators has not yet been officially announced, we do know that Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will officiate as a consultant for Prime Video. He will join the team already led by Thibault Le Rol last year, made up of Marion Bartoli, Guy Forget, Tatania Golovin, Arnaud Clément, Fabrice Santoro and Pauline Parmentier.

On its official website, Amazon specifies that the matches will also be accessible in replay 15 minutes after the end of the match. In addition, all the meetings will be offered in Full HD.

On the technical side, the competition is accessible on its devices such as Fire TV and the Fire tablet, on web browsers and connected devices via the Prime Video app, including compatible game consoles, set-top boxes and media players, Smart TVs, Blu-Ray players, tablets and iOS or Android mobile phones.

Since 1987, what would later become France Télévisions has been the broadcaster of the Roland-Garros tournament, and the French group remains the benchmark for following the competition.

From May 22, fans of tight rackets and bouncing balls will be able to follow all of the qualifications on the France TV platform and via the France TV Sport application.

From May 28 to June 11, you can then watch the entire main draw of the tournament, with a daily broadcast from 11 a.m.

Like every year since 2003, Laurent Luyat will be in charge live from the terrace of the Philippe-Chatrier court. He will be accompanied by many renowned consultants, including former players Mary Pierce, Michaël Llodra and Justine Henin.

Beyond the linear antenna on France 2, France 3 and France 4, the competition can also be followed live on the France.tv platform, with replays and excerpts.
