Europe 1 is, again this year, and for the next three editions, the official radio of Roland-Garros. Nadal, Djokovic, Sinner, Alcaraz… This Parisian Grand Slam promises to be particularly exciting.
Europe 1, official radio of Roland-Garros! We are proud, with the French Tennis Federation, to announce that Europe 1, historic partner of Roland-Garros, is once again committed as the official radio station of the Parisian Grand Slam for the next three editions of the tournament, from 2024 to 2026. The French internationals which start in just two months. A 2024 edition which promises to be particularly exciting.
Nadal’s return
With the twilight of a giant, Rafael Nadal. 14 titles Porte d’Auteuil, absent last year, the Spaniard dreams of regaining his crown one last time. “He fully deserved it. He has decided when he wants to go out. But the competition promises to be fierce with first Novak Djokovic, the other giant in search of a 25th Grand Slam title. Nadal will also face the Italian Sinner, titled at the Australian Open, and the up-and-coming Alcaraz. On the French side, the objective will be to reach the second week with the Olympic Games in the back of their minds.
“Once the tournament is over, that’s where we’ll do the math and see which French players are qualified for the Olympic Games. To have this opportunity, to defend the colors of your country and to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris , it’s something that is unique,” he continued. There will be four seeds for men and women to participate in these Porte d’Auteuil Games. Only one condition: to be among the 60 best in the world.
