New triumph for Iga Swiatek at Roland-Garros. Two years after her surprise victory in 2020, the Polish, now world number 1, disposed of the American Cori Gauff in the final this Saturday. Facing Cori Gauff, only 18 years old and perhaps a little paralyzed by the event, Iga Swiatek became the first multi-titled player at Roland-Garros since Serena Williams who won her 3rd title there in 2015 and the youngest player to win two Grand Slam titles since Maria Sharapova.
