Roland-Garros: Iga Swiatek wins the women’s tournament for the third time

by Milo Langro (iDalgo)

Iga Swiatek crowned again! After a beautiful final full of twists and turns, the Polish won (6 – 2, 5 – 7, 6 – 4) against Karolina Muchova for the third time in her career. After an undeniably dominated first set and while Karolina Muchova seemed in total loss, the match will take a completely different turn in the second set. This time, the attacks of the Czech hit the bull’s eye, she is no longer bothered by the sun or the wind. When she goes to the net, she is rewarded and she therefore takes this second set which was disputed until the last moments (5 – 7). But Iga Swiatek let the storm pass and can now play his game as in the first set.
Stronger mentally and fairer in the game too, the Pole will remain focused until the end and therefore wins for the third time on the Phillipe Chartier court after 2020 and 2022.
