The long-awaited game has arrived. Rafael Nadal, thirteen-time winner at Roland-Garros, and Novak Djokovic, world No. 1, meet this Tuesday evening in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
This is the 59th time that these two tennis giants will meet. And perhaps the last in Paris, since the Spaniard, who has to deal with a sore foot, hinted the day before yesterday that it was “perhaps” his last participation in the Parisian Grand Slam.
Scheduled at night
Suffice to say that all tennis fans, and beyond, will not want to miss this classic for the world.
The match was scheduled for 8:45 p.m. on the Philippe-Chatrier court at Roland-Garros, in a night session therefore. And after an intense battle with France Télévision, the American broadcaster Amazon Prime Video, the sole holder of TV rights on this time slot, won its case with the organizers.
The latter nevertheless obtained from Amazon the free broadcasting, everywhere in France, of the Djokovic-Nadal match, whereas it is usually necessary to subscribe to the “Prime Video” service (49 euros per year or 5.99 euros per month ) to gain access to the evening sessions of the tournament.
Here’s how to do it
On smartphone, tablet or computer: just go to the dedicated website or the Prime Video mobile application. It will not be necessary to create an account.
What if I want to watch on my TV? The procedure is a little more complex.
– For holders of Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook), you must use the system Apple Airplay to project the images on the big screen, provided you have a connected TV and a WiFi network.
– Same operation for Android devices, through the system Google Cast.
– Last possibility: access the Prime Video application directly on your TV, through your internet box or the digital store of your game console hooked up to your TV. Note that it will probably be necessary, in this case, to create an account on the platform to watch the match.
And for people with recent equipment, note that there is a “Prime Video” button on some remote controls to access the service directly.
