BRIEF // At the heart of a controversy, the highly anticipated meeting between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals of Roland-Garros will be broadcast at night on Prime Video. Amazon’s service has agreed to make access free.

Particularly awaited, the shock of the quarter-finals of Roland-Garros between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic was at the heart of a small controversy. In question, the tournament calendar which leaned strongly towards a match scheduled for the night session for the sake of fairness, so that players such as Carlos Alcaraz did not play several times until late in the evening. Problem, since 2021, it is on Prime Video that these night sessions are broadcast on the Philippe-Chatrier court. And who says Prime says mandatory subscription to view the meeting.

With a Rafael Nadal who did not hide his reluctance to play in the evening and the public who largely risked missing one of the matches of the year, the headache was real for the organizers of the Parisian tournament. Finally, an in-between was found. The two players will face off well at night on Prime Video, but the American platform has agreed to broadcast the meeting for free, without restriction and without the need to register or create a Prime account.
