Roland Kaiser: Back on stage with the "Back to Live" concert series

Under the motto "Back to Live", concerts will take place again in the Waldbühne Berlin after the Corona break – Roland Kaiser is the first.

The Berlin Waldbühne is one of the most beautiful venues in Germany. From September 3, 2020, concerts can temporarily take place again in the iconic open-air stage at the Olympiapark. With the concert series "Back to Live" there is live music there in September and October after the months-long Corona break. 5,000 (instead of 22,000) visitors can experience performances by German top acts with a safety distance of 1.50 meters.

These top acts perform

At the beginning in the Waldbühne there is pop music by Roland Kaiser (68). After his first concert on September 4th sold out quickly, a second one was placed in front of it – on Thursday, September 3rd, at 7:30 pm, Kaiser and his live band will give the go-ahead for "Back to Live". Things are a little different musically two days later when Sido (39) performs. The Berlin musician has long since shed his image as a gangsta rapper and will mainly entertain the audience with catchy hip-hop pop songs from his last albums. It starts on September 5th at 7:30 p.m., the concert is already sold out.

One day later one of the great entertainers will be on stage. All-rounder Helge Schneider (65) should bring mood to the amphitheater with his strange mixture of slapstick and jazz and ensure an entertaining evening. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Almost two weeks later, the young pop singer Wincent Weiss (27) appears. On September 18th, the 27 year old musician will play tracks from his two albums "Irgendwas gegen die Stille" and "Irgendwie anders". Weiss got the songwriter Fabian Wegerer (23) on board as support.

In addition, there will be a special edition of "Schlagernacht des Jahres" on September 26th at 5 pm, presented by rbb television. Stars like Kerstin Ott (38), Ben Zucker (37), Matthias Reim (62), Giovanni Zarrella (42), Ramon Roselly (26), Marianne Rosenberg (65), Beatrice Egli (32) and Ross Antony ( 46). At the end of the "Back to Live" series, a real highlight awaits. German rocker Peter Maffay (71) and his band will heat up the audience in the Waldbühne on October 2nd at 7:30 p.m.

Hygiene and distance rules for concert-goers

Most major events in Germany will remain banned until at least the end of October; the holding of such events is only permitted under certain conditions. For example the seven concerts in the Waldbühne, for which the operators and organizers had developed a hygiene concept specially tailored to the open-air location over the past few weeks. Only spouses or partners or relatives from one household are allowed to sit next to each other, a maximum of 5,000 people per show receive tickets.

"All tickets are sold at the exact location and in accordance with hygiene rules," says the Berlin Waldbühne homepage. Wearing a face mask is mandatory. In addition, the minimum distance of 1.50 meters must be observed. Those who are unable to attend on the day of the concert can only have their personalized ticket re-personalized on the respective day of the event. It is important to present their ID and a copy of the new visitor's ID.
