Roller Champions is announced – by surprise – for May 25 on consoles and PC

Disappeared from the radar since the announcement of its closed beta, Roller Champions is still alive and well. As a reminder, it will oppose two teams of three players on circuits where it will be a question of scoring five points to win the victory. Each goal scored will be sanctioned with one point, but the more laps the team in possession of the ball has behind them, the more points they will earn for each goal scored. The objective will therefore be to ensure possession of the ball for as long as possible in order to garner the maximum number of points at once or to multiply the shots to gradually lead to the score. The runners of each team will be able to rely on various techniques to fight in the arena, such as tackles or dodging.

The progression of a team in the classification will obviously open the doors to ever higher competitions and other special events limited in time. Unsurprisingly, seasonal passes are already planned, with their lots of cosmetics and other items to win. In short, a very classic free-to-play model. Ubisoft specifies that its title will benefit from a cross-play functionality between some of the media concerned: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. The Switch, Stadia and, later, Amazon Luna versions are unlikely to be eligible for this favor.
