Romances are at the heart of patch 6 on Baldur’s Gate 3 – Gamosaurus

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with more romance? On Baldur’s Gate 3, not much, and patch 6 proves it. If many gameplay problems, quests or even fights are targeted, it is the atmosphere of the camp which is central here. Companions can now enjoy new animations to keep them busy, while kisses are finally more personal.

Overall, the majority of the patch focuses mainly on the different interactions throughout the game. Dark Urges benefits from better context by the Narrator during his meeting with Gortash, it is possible to comfort Shadowheart with a hug during the reunion with her parents, and Minthara has dialogues more suited to her adventure during the epilogue. All this in addition to the random animations that they can perform at camp, the universe is much more alive than ever.

However, the bulk of the work lies in the romances. These have all been reworked to do justice to the hero’s closest companions. Each character thus has a way of kissing that stems from their personality. There are several for each of them, which are played randomly during a chat. And to make the ending seem less abrupt, certain cutscenes are developed so that the relationship is better represented.

Fixes and improvements

Additionally, patch 6 of Baldur’s Gate 3 also corrects various problems. Dismissing a companion can now be done without having to speak to them, the merchant interface has been revised to be clearer, as has the passive interface for the Sorcerer. Some feats have had their effects corrected to become playable again. Finally, many cutscenes now correctly highlight the player, in addition to having been slightly improved.

But we notice a lot of work on long rests in this patch 6 of Baldur’s Gate 3. Now, drinking alcohol delivers the “Hangover” penalty to players. This lasts 10 laps and may cause some problems. More generally, the functionality has been refined so that the rations are better distributed during automatic choice. No need to worry about checking each ingredient used.
