In March of this year, Ronan Keating’s wife Storm went through the unimaginable when she was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. Now she is talking about this terrible experience for the first time.

Storm Keating, 40, the wife of singer Ronan Keating, 44, looks back on a bad time. The terrible experience happened in March of this year. After the designer and blogger underwent an operation after a herniated disc, her condition suddenly worsened. A so-called cauda equina syndrome occurred, which had to be operated on immediately – afterwards the mother of two children was briefly paralyzed.

Storm announced the news in a lengthy Instagram post on March 26, saying that she “wouldn’t wish anyone what I went through”. On the ITV show “Loose Women”, Ronan Keating’s wife spoke about the “scariest week of her life” for the first time.

On December 1, 2021, Storm stated on the program “Loose Women” that she developed the rare cauda equina syndrome, in which her nerves pressed on the spine so that she could not feel anything from the waist down. She described how she woke up one morning and found that parts of her body were “completely numb”. “Everything was gone from the waist down. My legs, my bowels, my bladder, everything,” said the 40-year-old. She added that if she had not been in the hospital, she could have been “in a diapered wheelchair”.

Ronan: “I was crying my eyes out of my head”

Later, Ronan and his wife took part in the “Loose Women” round and remembered the terrible hours: “It was the first time in my life that I had to call an ambulance, I was an absolute wreck.” The Irish singer was not allowed to go to her hospital due to Corona – a terrible situation for the singer. The “If Tomorrow Never Comes” star revealed that he had howled his eyes out of his head in the car because he did not know what will happen next for his wife.

When the surgeon called him to tell him the good news that the operation had gone well, he cried tears of joy. After the successful operation, the 40-year-old can walk again. But there is still a long way to go before full recovery. She still feels some numbness in both her right leg and right foot.

Producer and fashion designer and singer Ronan Keating married on August 17, 2015. In April 2017, they became parents of a son. In March 2020, their daughter made happiness perfect.
