Rosanna Davison: Chris de Burgh's daughter gives birth to twins

Rosanna Davison, the daughter of Chris de Burgh, gave birth to her twins. After 14 miscarriages, she now has three children.

Rosanna Davison, 36, gave birth to twins on Wednesday. She announced this on Instagram the same day. "Our beautiful and healthy identical twin babies, Hugo and Oscar, arrived safely this morning and our hearts are bursting with love," says the daughter of Irish music star Chris de Burgh (72, "Lady in Red") a photo that shows her, the babies and her husband Wesley Quirke (born 1983) still in the delivery room.

The former Miss World (2003) continues: "We became a family of five just like that, and all our dreams have come true. We are deeply grateful to the wonderful, hard-working team at the National Maternity Hospital for all their kindness and support."

"14 pregnancy losses" and one "surrogate mother"

Rosanna Davison and Wesley Quirke have been married since 2014. Hugo and Oscar are not their first children. Little Sophia Rose Quirke was born in November 2019. However, the circumstances were not easy, as she explained in July 2020 when she announced her twin pregnancy via Instagram. "We had to struggle with fourteen pregnancy losses and a challenging fertility journey in the past few years before we finally welcomed Sophia in November of last year (2019) with the help of a surrogate mother."
