14 years ago, on November 6, 2006, “Rote Rosen” started on ARD. Over the years, the scriptwriters have always had to come up with something new to captivate the fans. Not all developments are well received. On the telenovela Instagram channel, many followers are now venting their displeasure and criticizing the scriptwriters of the daily soap for a piquant scene.
Britta (Jelena Mitschke) ties Hendrik (Jerry Kwarteng) to the bed with pink plush handcuffs. When a surprising call from the hospital intervenes and she has to leave immediately, she can only free one of Hendrik’s arms from the handcuffs beforehand. She leaves him the keys, but due to a mishap of Hendrik they land on the floor – and he has to hold out in his predicament until he is finally freed. The fans apparently find this scene unreasonable.
“This handcuff action was more than stupid. In general, I find the Britta Hendrik story annoying. It’s a shame,” complains an Instagram user. “How incredibly ridiculous this handcuff scene,” rages another. And this follower doesn’t hold back with his opinion on the scene: “Bondage games in an afternoon program that even children cannot watch! A little more self-control please!”.
