She was the first “Rose”: Angela Roy, 63, played the leading role in the successful ARD telenovela “Rote Rosen” from 2006 to 2007. The series started with the episode when the life of Petra Jansen (Angela Roy) fell apart after an affair with her husband.
After leaving the telenovela, Angela Roy took on another series engagement with “Geld.Macht.Liebe”. The actress had episode roles in many German TV series, including “Um Himmels Willen” and “Der Bergdoktor”. In addition to TV productions, Angela Roy also devoted herself to her second passion: the theater.

Edelgard Hansen plays “Dörte Reichard”
Good news for “Rote Rosen” fans! The popular ARD telenovela is getting an interesting new addition. Edelgard Hansen will play Jens’ mother Dörte Reichard from August. The retired pastor is causing a lot of fuss and great worries. As ARD reported in a press release, Dörte bursts in the middle of the wedding preparations of her son Jens (Martin Luding, 50) and Mona (Jana Hora-Goosmann, 53). There is a great moment of shock when she suddenly collapses on the stairs of the registry office!
Presumably from the beginning of August 2021, Edelgard Hansen, who has already gained a lot of acting experience, both on TV and on the theater stage, will be seen as Dörte Reichard.

The fan day in 2021 will be different than usual
At the last “Rote Rosen” fan day in 2019, 4,000 visitors came to the studio in Lüneburg – a new record! But then the corona pandemic broke out and the popular Fan Day, where you can take a look behind the scenes and experience the actors up close, had to be canceled. Protective measures must also be observed in 2021. Great news: The Fan Day will not be without replacement, as the NDR announces on its website. The solution: it will be moved to the radio! Fans can ask questions to Jana Hora-Goosmann (53, plays Mona Herzberg) and Gerry Hungbauer (60, plays Thomas Jansen) and win great prizes in the “Rote Rosen” quiz. Anyone who wants to get in contact with Jana and Gerry can ask their question submit here in advance.
