Karl Dall would have been 80 years old. Now there is a compilation of scenes from "Rote Rosen" that were made before his death.

The presenter, singer, actor and comedian Karl Dall (1941-2020), who died in November, would have turned 80 on February 1st. The ARD telenovela "Rote Rosen" now honors him in a very special way – with a previously unpublished compilation of individual scenes that Dall was able to shoot shortly before his death.

"It was an honour"

"Because, as an avowed 'Rote Rosen' viewer, he absolutely wanted to appear in the Daily Novela, we fulfill his wish with a weeping and laughing eye – an unpublished compilation of his first and tragically last day of shooting in Lüneburg," writes Team behind production. "It was an honor to have got to know him and to have worked with him."

Dall should actually be seen as rock star Richie Sky from mid-January 2021 in 15 episodes of "Rote Rosen". However, the work had to be interrupted after his first day of shooting. With reference to the Dalls family, the first announced at the time that he had to be treated "in his Lüneburg apartment with a suspected stroke" and that he was receiving medical care. The actor was unable to recover from the stroke and died a few days later.
