A dog owner walked her Rottweiler without a muzzle even though she should have known the animal was dangerous. The Horgen district court has imposed a conditional sentence.

What happened in October 2019 not far from the Horgen lake promenade is the nightmare of every walker. A 77-year-old woman walks past a dog owner who is walking her Rottweiler on a leash. She has already passed people and animals when the dog breaks free and attacks her from behind. The elderly woman falls to the ground and loses consciousness. The Rottweiler lunges at her and bites her face, ear, back, shoulder blade and both arms.
