Group B: Arsenal and Eindhoven through
Thanks to the clear home win against Lens, Arsenal booked their ticket to the round of 16 on the penultimate matchday. At the same time, the Londoners secured group victory. The hosts made things clear early on against the French. After 27 minutes they led 4-0 thanks to goals from Kai Havertz (13th), Gabriel Jesus (21st), Bukayo Saka (23rd) and Gabriel Martinelli (27th). Martin Odegaard scored the final result before half-time. For Lens, after the clear defeat in the last round in the direct duel with Sevilla FC, it is still about qualifying for the Europa League round of 16.

- Sevilla – Eindhoven 2:3
In the early Group B match, PSV Eindhoven turned the game around in Seville after being 2-0 down and secured second place. The Dutch are 3 points ahead of Lens and have the better record in direct duels. Sergio Ramos and Youssef En Nesyri put the Spaniards in front by 2 lengths. After a yellow-red card against Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos (66th), Eindhoven managed to turn things around thanks to Ismael Saibari (68th), an own goal from Nemanja Gudelj (81st) and Ricardo Pepi (92nd). At Sevilla, Nati player Djibril Sow was substituted in the 73rd minute.
Group C: Real Madrid wins the group
- Real Madrid – Napoli 4:2
After securing their place in the round of 16 on matchday 5, Real Madrid also secured group victory in Pool C. In an entertaining game against Napoli, the Madrilenians fell behind in the 9th minute thanks to a goal from Giovanni Simeone. Rodrygo equalized again just a few seconds later, and Jude Bellingham gave the hosts their first lead in the 22nd minute. After Napoli’s equalizer from Frank Anguissa shortly after the break, 19-year-old Nicolas Paz and Joselu secured Real a deserved victory. Napoli has to continue to worry about reaching the round of 16. However, a point at the end against Braga is enough to advance.
- Braga – Union Berlin 1:1
With the draw in the home game against Union Berlin, Braga failed to create a better starting position in the fight for advance to the knockout phase. The Portuguese had to operate outnumbered from the 30th minute and a red card against Sikou Niakaté. Robin Gosens shot the Berliners into the lead before the break at the premiere of new coach Nenad Bjelica. Alvaro Djalo secured the home team a point with his goal in the 51st minute. Braga therefore needs a win on the last matchday against Napoli in order to finish second. Thanks to the point win, Union remains in the race for third place.
- Benfica Lisbon – Inter Milan 3:3
In Group D, Real Sociedad San Sebastian and Inter Milan had already secured the round of 16 tickets before matchday 5. Nevertheless, the spectators saw a great spectacle in Inter’s guest appearance at Benfica Lisbon. For the Portuguese, Joao Mario scored a flawless hat trick against his former employer in the first half (5th, 13th, 34th). But the Milanese turned up the heat after the break and made it 3-3 thanks to three goals.
- Real Sociedad – Salzburg 0-0
In the other game, Real Sociedad and RB Salzburg played out a goalless draw. This means that the fight for group victory will be decided on the last matchday, as will the question of whether Salzburg or Benfica will survive the winter in the Europa League.
