Round-up National League – Lakers tame Lions in Lake Zurich derby – Ambri beats Biel – Sport

Lakers 5-2 ZSC Lions

0:0 after the 1st period, 2:2 after the 2nd period: Rapperswil-Jona and ZSC fought a duel at eye level for 40 minutes in front of a full house. In the final section, however, the home team ran over the guests. Shortly after the restart, Andrew Rowe scored the game-winning goal to make it 3-2 (41st) with a “Buebetrickli”. Jordan Schroeder increased the lead to 4:2 (47th minute) in a 5-minute majority, Jeremy Wick made the decision in the 51st minute with the 5:2. This means that the ZSC Lions have not won a point in their third duel of the season with the Lakers.

Ambri – Biel 4: 3 a.o

Ambri’s first win of the new year comes against the top team in Biel of all places. However, what initially looked like a resounding success developed into a thriller. The Seelanders made up for a 0:3 deficit in the final third and once again showed great morale. And yet, in the end, Ambri cheered. André Heim was not only celebrated as a hat-trick goal scorer, but also as a match winner thanks to his overtime goal.

Ajoie – Davos 3:2 nP

The bottom team from Jura has been coached by Julien Vauclair for 6 games, and the Ajoulots have now won 4 of these games. For a long time it looked as if the home team would have 3 points in the duel with HCD, but Enzo Corvi (44th) and Dennis Rasmussen (49th) saved the Davos team into overtime. However, the decision about the extra point was only made in the penalty shoot-out and then, unlike the night before, the Grisons lost out to the Lakers. While Guillaume Asselin and Philip-Michael Devos sank for Ajoie, only Matej Stransky was successful on the HCD side.

Lausanne – Friborg 5: 3

Before the game, the form table spoke crystal clear for Gottéron, who won their last 5 games, while Lausanne had to come off the ice 4 times as a loser. But at some point every series breaks, including this one. Lausanne advanced twice early in the first and second periods, Freiburg was able to react twice. However, the Saanestadt team never took the lead over the entire distance. Lukas Frick gave Lausanne some extra air with his 4:2 after 37 minutes. Freiburg got a chance again, but defender Frick put the lid on it again with the Empty-Netter shortly before the end.

SCL Tigers – Lugano 6: 4

Langnau digested the 0:9 slap against the Lakers last Tuesday well. The Tigers themselves celebrated a shooting match against Lugano, which was still in crisis. After 9 minutes it was already 3:0 for the hosts in the Emmental. Although the Ticino came close to a big turnaround after Brett Connolly made it 4:5 in the 51st minute, Flavio Schmutz nipped the Luganesi’s hopes in the bud with the 6:4 just 16 seconds later. Thanks to the victory in the direct duel, Langnau moves past Lugano in the table to a pre-playoff place.
