Roussel (PCF) claims to want to “unite working-class neighborhoods and rural areas”

The national secretary of the PCF Fabien Roussel assured Friday in Humanity to want “unite inhabitants of working-class urban neighborhoods and populations of peri-urban or rural areas“, believing that”the driving forceto do so will be the “world of work“.

With the approach of the Communist Congress which will take place in April, Fabien Roussel performs a “Tour de France», whose stages are often located in sub-prefectures. He says he sees there that “many citizens of these territories consider that the left no longer speaks to them“.

But the former presidential candidate wants to dispel criticism from rebellious people and environmentalists, and sometimes even from communists, according to whom he wants to neglect the inhabitants of the estates: “I do not resign myself to the territorial fractures of the country created by capital: let us work to unite inhabitants of popular urban neighborhoods and populations living in peri-urban or rural territories“.

For it, “the world of work is destined to become the driving force bringing together all classes and strata available in a fight to change lives” and “confront the domination of capital“says Fabien Roussel. For the congress, in view of which he is advancing as a favorite to his succession, he identifies several markers that must be “include in our texts as fundamental subjects“: the “nuclear», «work», «the Republic” or “the new powers of employees in the company“.

Even if it means expressing differences within the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes): the programmatic agreement “will have to be reviewed over time, we cannot be satisfied with a Nupes agreement with an asterisk that mentions the communists’ disagreement on nuclear“.
