Royals: Duchess Meghan + Prince Harry seem to "bring the worst together"

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are criticized for their dealings with the royal family. Many blame Meghan for the problems. Royal author Angela Levin sees it differently.

Review: Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are not doing well?

Duchess Meghan, 38, and Prince Harry, 35, once again throw the royal family to the head. Although they deny collaboration on the new unveiling book "Finding Freedom", which describes their love story from the first date to Megxit – the Royal experts and critics do not want to believe them. The book contains too many details that have to come from the innermost circle, if not Harry and Meghan himself.

Royal author Angela Levin has been watching Harry for many years and even met him for a one-on-one conversation for her book "Harry – Conversations with the Prince" at Kensington Palace. She writes in "The Telegraph" that she met Harry as a charismatic, young man. But Meghan had changed that. "I've seen this warm-hearted, young prince transform into a nervous, tense man who seems to be constantly on the brink of an abyss. It's as if the dark side, from which we previously only got a glimpse , would have completely enveloped him. " Especially in Megan's presence, Harry feels insecure, Levin says. The author feels that Meghan is constantly looking for his wife's attention – so much so that "Harry's sheen (…) fades in her shadow."

Did two meet there who would not have met better? One who subordinates himself and one who likes to set the tone? Former friends and companions describe Meghan as determined, ambitious, manipulative and self-absorbed.

Harry is so "devoured" by Meghan that he even turns away from his family, Levin judges. "The sad truth seems to be that Harry and Meghan – as much as they stare at each other's eyes blissfully and as tightly as Meghan holds onto her husband's arm – seem to be bringing the worst to each other." Perhaps it was time for Harry, Levin writes, "to step back and remember who he was and what really mattered to him before all of this started."
