Royals: Harry, Meghan, Kate and William will be banned from …

Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan, Duchess Catherine and Prince William have – after a long time – something in common again.

Harry, Meghan, Kate and William will not appear on "The Crown"

"The Crown", a Netflix series about the life of Queen Elizabeth, has been causing a sensation since November 2016. Whether Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Princess Margaret, Queen Mum, or soon, in season five, Princess Diana: All the important members of the Windsor family were written into the script by the makers. A hotly debated question among fans: Will Prince William, Duchess Catherine, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan also appear in "The Crown"? Peter Morgan, who invented the series, now provides information.

"I have a kind of 20-year rule in my head. That is enough time and distance to really understand something – to understand its role, to understand its position, to understand its relevance," says the series maker. "Meghan and Harry are in the middle of their journey and I don't know (…) how it will end." He adds: "I much prefer to write about things that happened at least 20 years ago." Means: Neither Meghan and Harry nor Kate and William will be discussed in "The Crown". This also applies to Prince Andrew, 60, and the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Small bright spot: The childhood of William and Harry is outside the 20-year rule, as is the death of Princess Diana in 1997. So it is possible that at least in this regard, scenes about the brothers will be seen.
