Duchess Catherine and Prince William are considered to be the Dream couple among the British royals – for perfect She doesn't do that as a couple. Like many others, the two have experienced ups and downs. The latter was mainly the case in 2007 when the two separated for a few weeks.
"Waity Katie" ("Waiting Katie") – with this unattractive nickname, the English press mocked Kate Middleton when year after year went by without a marriage proposal from Prince William. While she longed for a ring on his finger, he got cold feet. Robert Lacey, 76, wrote in his new book "Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult" that he was worried that he had met the right girl at the wrong time.
"His fun-loving cadet colleagues at (the military academy) Sandhurst had shown how much life he had before he settled down. Also, (the newspaper) 'The Spectator' had published an article in which Kate cheekily as' The next princess of the people 'was anointed. All old fears about the hasty marriage of his parents were awakened ", Lacey describes the problem at the time Williams.
Prince William sought love advice from Queen Elizabeth about Kate
The young prince went to see his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and his father, Prince Charles, according to the book author. They both liked Kate, but advised William not to rush anything. Just ten and a half weeks after the split call, Kate and William were spotted at a party at the Prince's barracks in Bovington, Dorset – while dancing and kissing.The two have been happily married since April 2011. They live with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Kensington Palace in London.
