Prince George's godmother Julia Samuel tells private things

Julia Samuel, 60, was a confidante of Princess Diana, † 36, and was honored in 2013 by Prince William, 38, to become the godmother for his son Prince George, six. In the podcast "How to Fail" by British writer Elizabeth Day, 42, Samuel now reveals some details about George. "He is incredible. He is funny and lively and cheeky and God, she [Diana] would have loved him so much. It is heartbreaking for everyone," she says proudly.

Samuel also speaks of a funny family tradition that Diana introduced to the royal family and has been continuing since then: to give each other gifts that are first assembled themselves and secondly make a lot of noise. Samuel follows the tradition. "So I'm doing for George what [Diana] did for us: namely, giving impossible toys that are really loud [and] require a lot of work." She was impressed by how creative William was and how much time he took to make George a friend.
